Terms of service

The terms Ultra Spark Cleaning works under, in plain English.

Last updated 2026-08-04.

These terms

These terms apply to every job carried out by Ultra Spark Cleaning. They're written to be readable rather than impressive — if anything here is unclear, ask and we'll explain it before you book.

What we agree to

  • Attend on the agreed date, within the agreed arrival window, with the equipment and products the job needs.
  • Work to the written checklist supplied with your quote.
  • Send trained, referenced and DBS-checked cleaners, insured under our £5m public liability public liability policy.
  • Tell you honestly if something can't be achieved, before we start rather than after.

What we ask of you

  • Provide access as agreed, plus water, hot water and electricity.
  • Tell us about anything that affects safety or the work: pets, damaged surfaces, delicate materials, faulty appliances, building work, infestations.
  • Put away valuables, cash, jewellery and confidential documents before we arrive.
  • Move heavy or fragile items yourself if you want cleaning behind them.

Things we can't do

We don't work at height, on external windows above ground floor, on roofs or in lofts. We don't clean up biohazards, needles, mould remediation beyond surface treatment, or anything requiring a licensed contractor. We don't move heavy furniture or appliances that are plumbed or wired in. We won't use a product you've supplied if we believe it will damage the surface.

Damage and breakages

Accidents are rare but they happen. Tell us immediately and we'll report it to our insurers. Our liability is limited to the value of the item and covered by our public liability policy. We can't accept liability for damage caused by pre-existing faults, items that were already damaged, surfaces that hadn't been sealed, or breakages of items that were not put away as asked.

Results we can't promise

Some things are permanent: bleach marks, dye transfer, corroded chrome, scratched enamel, scale that has etched the surface underneath, and stains that have been set by heat. We'll always tell you before we start if we think something won't come out. A clean is judged against the agreed checklist, not against a new-build.

Payment and late payment

Payment is due on completion, or within 14 days for account customers. Late invoices may carry statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act. We'd much rather chase nobody, so if there's a problem with an invoice tell us and we'll sort it.

Poaching our cleaners

If you want to employ one of our cleaners directly, talk to us — we'd rather help than fall out. Hiring a cleaner introduced by us within six months, outside our arrangement, incurs an introduction fee of £600.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
